Steps for Start Streaming on IRIAM with Live2D

If you want to stream on IRIAM using your own Live2D model, there are a few preparations you’ll need to make in advance.

This article will explain those preparations in detail.

① Model Adjustments

On IRIAM, the model can move up, down, left, right, forward, and backward on the screen through face position tracking. To enable this functionality, a few additional parameters need to be configured.

Furthermore, due to the nature of running a Live2D model on a smartphone, there are some restrictions on aspects such as texture size and polygon count in order to ensure stable performance.

To meet these two main requirements, adjustments to the model must be made in accordance with the following guidelines.

② Model Upload

The adjusted Live2D model can be uploaded to your IRIAM account through a web tool called IRIAM Chara Checker.

a. How to Sign In

You can sign in to IRIAM Chara Checker using your IRIAM account. Please use the same sign-in method you use for the IRIAM app—whether that’s email and password, or sign-in with X, Apple, or Google.

We’ll grant access to the tool when we grant access to streaming feature to your IRIAM account.

b. Implementation Flow

1. Upload your model files
2. Check for any file errors
3. Review the model’s movement through preview videos
4. Apply the model to your IRIAM account
5. Check the model on the app

b-1. Upload your model files

• Please upload exported runtime Live2D files including moc3, model3.json, physics3.json and textures.

b-2. Check for any file errors

• If any errors are detected in the files, error messages will be displayed on the screen.
• Please review the messages and correct the errors before re-uploading the files.

b-3. Review the model’s movement through preview videos

• A preview video will be generated, allowing you to check how your model moves on IRIAM.
• It usually takes 5 - 10 minutes.

b-4. Apply the model to your IRIAM account

• Once you’ve confirmed that your model is moving correctly in the preview video, go ahead and apply it to your IRIAM account.
• It also takes several minutes before the model is applied to your account.

b-5. Check the model on the app

• Tap the “Stream” button and enter preview mode to check how your model appears in the app.
• If everything looks good, you can go live with it right away!
• If you notice any issues, please modify your Live2D model and re-upload it using the IRIAM Chara Checker.

③ Start Streaming

Once you’ve uploaded your Live2D model to your account and confirmed that it works properly, the rest is simple.

On the streaming preparation screen in the IRIAM app, select the model and background you want to use, perform face tracking calibration if needed, and click the “Enter a Title” button.

After entering a title, just press the “Start Stream” button to begin streaming!
