For our twelfth edition of Spotlight on IRIAM: Meet The Streamer, we’re joined by Akira Inuka. She’s a hyper, bubbly wolf yokai who loves bringing smiles to everyone she meets. Whether she's chatting for hours, belting out karaoke songs, or going on an adventure, her goal is always the same: create a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels like part of the pack.
When she's not streaming, Akira loves alternative fashion, anime, VTubers, music, plushies, and learning new languages. She's happiest meeting new people, making friends, and cheering others on. Her dream is to one day release an original song, perform on stage, and continue building unforgettable memories with her beloved community, the Hyperpups!
What inspired you to become a VTuber?
D’aww geez, this is gonna be quite the throwback to kick things off, I see~! Hehe, well, to be fair, I didn’t exactly plan on becoming wan at first. Mainly, when I was little, I was always fascinated by content creation as a whole and wanted to pursue it myself! From all the various forms of content and creators themselves on YouTube I enjoyed and admired, to learning about streaming and things with Twitch, etc! My knowledge way back when was much smaller than it is now. However, I was at least familiar with what a “VTuber” was - seeing ads with Kizuna Ai on YouTube to learning about Gawr Gura and Hololive as a whole, and so on and so forth. Then, fast-forwarding to late 2021, I was introduced to an avatar-based live-streaming platform, and everything just clicked from there. Thus, now here we are oh so many moons later in 2026, and my goodness, I could not be happier and/or more grateful that things turned out the way they did. ❤︎︎

What were your earliest experiences like when you first started streaming or creating content? How do you feel you have grown since then?
Honestly, I feel the best way to describe things during my early days would be: pawsitively chaotic, scuff-scuff-scuffy, but bunches of fun nonetheless~! Again, my streaming journey began back in late 2021 on the avatar-based live streaming platform I had mentioned, and boy howdy- I had absolutely no HECCIN clue what on earth I was doing!
I still remember my very first stream quite well! After putting together a look I felt suited my little yokai self best at the time, I remember curiously yet nervously starting up stream, and from there things just took off! Admittedly, almost the entire stream was nothing but yapping, but like I always tell my beloved Hyperpups and everywan I happen to meet; you give me LITERALLY any subject matter, and whether I know it 100% or even just 0.0001%, I am running with it for HOURS on end.
Kinda like how I am currently but I digress... Hehe, but all in all it was truly such a wanderful experience to be had. I had the opportunity to meet so many lovely new people / make some fangtastic new friendo’s, got to officially dip my paws into live streaming and get a feel for what it’s like interacting with a live audience, and of course made plenty of new memories that I still fondly look back on and cherish to this day.
Now Early-Day Akira vs. Present-Day Akira? I’d say there is DEFINITELY a significant amount of growth in between the two; from becoming more knowledgeable with various VTubing terms, the sphere entirely, branching out in regards to streaming content, pawperly scheduling streams, having a stream schedule, learning new software/editing as a whole, etc. There’s certainly quite a lot I’ve come to learn since then, and of course while there’s always room for improvement for this here Okuri-Inu gal, I am at least grateful for the progress I have made thus far. Not only that, but for all the beautiful souls I have in my life who’ve been by my side to witness that growth as well.
What made IRIAM stand out to you, and why did you decide to pursue becoming a Founding Streamer?
There were many positive factors that drew my interest to IRIAM! From the almost zero latency, making it effortlessly easy to interact with so many amazing heccin streamers on the platform. It’s a welcoming, kind, entertaining, and super duper supportive community that made me feel right at home. To the various exciting and interesting event opportunities provided within the app itself. And lastly, the biggest and grandest of all, the utter convenience of everything~!
I mean, being able to stream anytime, anywhere, whenever this yokai wants with just my phone ALONE-? That’s music to my ears, are you kidding me?! This especially stood out to me because, due to some pawsonal circumstances, I’m unable to have a big ol PC setup here in my den; therefore, taking the more “traditional” VTubing path wouldn’t quite work for this little ol wolf-girl. Which is another reason mobile/vertical streaming has been my go-to after all these moons.
That being said, and if my silly ol' Swiss-cheese brain remembers correctly, I was originally introduced to IRIAM via a social media ad. After my interest was piqued, I went ahead and downloaded the platform; the layout was already very easy to navigate, and after visiting a stream or two, I was slowly becoming more acquainted with things as a whole. While taking in the app for all it had to offer, I noticed a banner on the home page about applying to become a Founding Streamer, and once more, my interest was piqued.
At this point in time, I was actively streaming on another platform, given my form at the time was a taddd different than it is now. Of course, I was still my usual hyper, bubbly, talkative canine self, just more of an “Aurora” when it came to the colors department, ya know~? Despite this, seeing the banner to apply honestly felt like a calling, a sign almost that it was time to move forward even further when it came to streaming as a whole. I went ahead and took that leap, applied, and now here we are today! Like I’ve said prior and will happily continue to say as many times as necessary, I truly couldn’t be happier that things turned out the way they did.
What was your reaction when you first received your current model? Did you see any similarities between yourself and your model, whether in personality, style, or overall vibe?
I feel this is a pretty accurate representation of my reaction, so I’ll just say it was something along these lines: SQUEEEE~!! HAPPY HECCIN WOLF NOISES!!! Playfulness aside, my reaction was truly nothing but pawsitive upon acquiring my IRIAM form. I mean there’s just so much that I adore about it~! From my soft wiggly ears, my long, thick hair, my stunning colorful eyes, my little fang, my big ol floofy tail, and of course my SICK alternative outfit like- hello? Are you joshin' me right now?
Reaction aside, when it comes to similarities, I’d say right off the bat I felt there were quite a bit! The biggest, of course, being the alternative style, since I’ve always been an alternative gal ever since I was a pup. My wardrobe has always been on the darker side, including all-black and other dark-colored clothing, chokers, collars, spikes, chains, stockings, boots, etc. Unless, of course, we’re also mentioning my various anime, gaming, VTuber, band tees, and more!
A-Anywho~! Style aside, I felt when it came to pawsonality and vibe, even that was the pawfect match-! For example, before this here Okuri-Inu gal’s debut day arrived, I remember hopping on IRIAM multiple times on various days prior to see how my new IRIAM Form suited me, and I swear I couldn’t have been more ecstatic! I say this as I am quite the expressive gal through my words, actions, and of course various expressions. Thus, seeing how accurately I was able to portray said things through this new self of mine had me nothing short of a giddy little ball of fluff~!

How do you stay motivated and positive during difficult or low energy days?
In all seriousness, I feel I don’t necessarily need to keep myself motivated, as I feel that motivation is just always present, even pawsitivity-wise! Now I know how cheesy that may sound, but just hear me out for a moment, yeah? As I mentioned earlier on when I first started streaming, I was absolutely clueless. At the start I was just a lone yokai gal yappin with folks online, which was still bunches of fun, don’t get things twisted, but even so.
As time went on, I slowly started to learn more, grow consistency-wise, branch out with stream content, and, over time, foster a wonderful community of so many outstanding folks. The fact that it was even a reality just astonished me; the fact that there were now others who looked forward to said streams, to all the silly shenanigans we got up to during them, the fact that they were looking forward to seeing me.
As time would further come to pass, I would learn firsthand just how much I meant to so many. Everywan’s heartfelt words of how they were excitedly awaiting for stream to begin, how they thoroughly enjoyed my silly puns and wolfy antics, the love had for the community we built as a whole and how welcomed they felt within it, just how pawsitively I had affected their lives and how every time they’d join they couldn’t help but smile- that alongside so much more is why my motivation is always present, why my pawsitivity never falters even when days get difficult, to mean so much to so many beautiful souls in this world is truly such a magnificent feeling.
From the very beginning to now, being where I am is something I have only ever dreamt of since I was young. So, to finally achieve that very dream and oh so much more after all these moons, ignites such a constant, overwhelmingly pawsitive feeling inside my heart that I truthfully cannot even begin to find the pawper words to describe it in its entirety. Simply put, I just absolutely adore what I do and the fact that I have so many incredible folks in my life who enjoy things all the same? It makes it all the more worthwhile and keeps me going 24/7.
What are some memorable moments or streams you've had on IRIAM?
In all honesty, I don’t know where on earth I should even begin. From this here wolfy’s very first stream with debut day itself, to the special birthday stream where I got to celebrate with everywan, to everything in between and so much more- truly every stream that’s been had up to this point has been a memorable wan. If anything, I joke about it constantly, but I’ve taken so many pictures/recordings for the memories that my dog-gone camera roll is crying for help at this point! But it’s all worth it in the end because everywan, and I mean everywan in our big ol community, makes things so remarkable to begin with. Everywan sincerely makes things so special each and every time. With that being the case, I would like to shed some extra light on two particular “moments” during our IRIAM journey because of their unique nature.
I’d like to first take a trip back into June 2025 when the IRIAM x Animate Collaboration Event made a return, and my, what a return it was! From June 24th to June 30th, it was truly such a wild ride. From the various exciting and entertaining streams we had back-to-back. To the fun, playful competition between everywan and the joy I felt in my heart seeing my fellow streamers advance within the event itself and to be there alongside them. As well as all the utterly wanderful memories that were made, which takes us to THE FINAL STREAM OF THE EVENT! Everywan’s emotions are here, there, and everywhere. Wan minute we are in Top 5, then we’re Top 3, then in Top 2, flip flopping back and forth. Despite the chaos everywan’s being nothing but pawsitive with their encouraging words and overwhelming support. Then, the final minute strikes, tensions are high, everywan’s everywhere all at once, my heart feels like it’s about to heccin BURST right out of my chest, the final second ticks on by and? WE END UP RANKING IN 2nd PLACE AND WIN OUR VERY FIRST BIG IRIAM EVENT!
Not only did we achieve this major milestone, but others as well in part to everywan’s massive support! From placing 2nd in the IRIAM Monthly Ranking to 5th in the Monthly Fan-Badge, ranking both for the first time, to boot~! I swear to goodness the immense amount of happy tears that I cried after everything was said and done was something to behold; I just couldn’t heccin believe it all-!! That is, until August 23rd, when the collab with Animate officially went live, and everything was set up in-store. From seeing the acrylic stands, button badges, bookmarks, and of course the big ol cardboard cutouts front and center in the store’s window with my darling friendo’s at my side. It was nothing short of a dream come true, a very reflection of everywan who came together and supported to turn said dream into a reality.
Which reminds me, while things were of course a combined effort, I’d like to take a moment to give extra props where they are due once more. This specifically goes to a certain ever so darling feline mochi-based pal of mine, the wan and only MaouMochi A.K.A Momochi~! From the beginning of the event when our paths first crossed, to every. single. day in between, down to the wire with the very last second, and even when we had the opportunity to meet in pawson at the Animate Store during the collab itself, he had been nothing but overwhelmingly supportive, pawsitive, and just a downright sweetheart~! I know I said it plenty during the event itself, afterward, in pawson, and even now, but I truly cannot say it enough- thank you again for absolutely everything, darlin. If not for you and everywan’s support as a whole, I wouldn’t have the privilege of sharing this beautiful memory now. And my oh my, what an utterly grand memory it is to be able to share. Heh, I love and appreciate ya bunches Momochi~!! ( P.S. We still gotta see bout SomiSomi wan of these days ya know? ❤︎︎ )
As we move into our last topic, it wasn’t just a single moment/event; I say this because, honestly, it was the entirety of March 2026 as a whole! From celebrating our 1 Year IRIAM Anniversary together with a BIGGG old Celebratory Endurance Stream, to participating in the OffKai Flyer Feature Event, as well as all the big ol goals we had set for March as a whole that we ended up achieving and THEN some! I say this as my goodness, it was certainly something else in the absolute best of ways.
Now this’ll be quite a bit so do bear with me but.. to go and achieve; over +1,000,000 Stars, over +100 hours streamed, over +4,000,000 pts in the Monthly Ranking, placing Top 3 Ranking 2nd Place in particular, over +1,000,000 Hype Points in just a SINGULAR stream, achieving 1st Place in the OffKai Flyer Feature Event. We also officially achieved 1st for the first time E V E R in a big IRIAM Event! Lastly, to go and achieve 111 folks with their Hyperbadges. This was not only a brand new mega milestone for our community, but to my knowledge… AN ENTIRELY NEW IRIAM US RECORD?! Every single thing to go and be achieved is just completely extraordinary, and even then I feel that’s putting things lightly-!
Of course, once more alllll of these phenomenal things wouldn’t have been pawssible if not for all the lovely people in my life. From the most magical of eldritch kitsunes (Kitsuna), to those who always have their listening ears at the ready (Proxi), the kindest of half-dragons known to man (Kuro), to the most chaotic of angel/demon hybrids (Arkos), the loveliest and most supportive of courtesan kitsunes (Yang), to the sweetest of fudge tarts around (Fudgey), of course the most spookiest of skeletal pals of mine too (Spooks), and honestly so so sooo many more-! Truthfully, I’d keep going on if I could, but.. we’d probably be here for hours if I did. Even so- it’d still be worth it in the end, hehe~
Hmm.. I do at least wish to give special kudos to wan more pawson who, as well, if not for their support alongside everywan’s things, may not have turned out the way they did-! I’m referring to none other than my beloved silly gingerbread cookie pal, CocoDeLuxxe, A.K.A. Coco! Ever since our paths first crossed during our 1 Year Anniversary Stream, they have been nothing short of a delight. From being overwhelmingly supportive not only this little yokai but so many of my wanderful friendo’s and fellow IRIAM streamers as a whole-! Her helpfulness both during and outside of stream as well as their own pawsitive nature, which I cherish, I am grateful for it all~! Which leads me to say, I know I said it a billion times over during our Anniversary Stream, during the OffKai Flyer Feature Event, and basically whenever else I can, but seriously.. thank you, cariño. As I mentioned earlier when talking about my lovely friendo Momochi, if not for you, everywan I listed above + all the lovely souls I didn’t get to directly list, and just our wanderful community as a whole.. all of the fangtastic things that occurred in March wouldn’t have been a reality.. Heh, I love and appreciate ya to crumbs. Coco, thank you again for everything~!! ( P.S. I’m not heccin ready for the ticklish chaos that awaits at OffKai this year- uweh— )
What kind of streams can viewers expect from you on the platform?
A WHOLEEE lot of variety when it comes down to it, that’s for sure-! From lengthy just chatting streams where we ramble on about this, that, and the other for hours on end. To lively karaoke streams where I get to sing my little heart out for everywan and even happily take requests to boot~! There’s also high-energy drinking streams where this wolf-girl gets her trusty ol' shot glass and soju, and then, together as a pack, we merrily drink and have a big old party of our own each and every time. Shoot, that’s not even scratching the surface when it comes to things-! We also have in-depth reading streams where not only do I narrate a story to everywan but I also voice-act for each distinct character alongside having ambient music that plays in the background depending on the genre. Plus, in especially chaotic punishment-wheel streams where every spin determines the fateful action awaiting this very yokai, we even have themed wheels for the holidays~! Oh-! Not to mention engaging IRL adventure streams where I pawsonally venture from outside my den and take everywan alongside me to explore various places, a pawsonal favorite being Round1~!
Frankly, even aside from all the several stream types I’ve listed thus far, I still have numerous more I could gush about. I mean my gosh- it’s to the point where I have an entire list in my notes that I use to keep track of everything-! Despite this, the BIGGEST thing folks can expect from this Okuri-Inu gal’s streams is for me to do my absolute dog-gone BEST to make them smile and their days all the more brighter, no matter the stream type~! That being said, to any lovely new soul who may be reading this, please don’t hesitate to drop on by-! The Hyperpups and I simply cannot heccin W A I T to have you stop in and join the fun so we can welcome you with open paws~! Besides, at the end of the day I pawmise I don’t bite-! Well... much anyway... hehe~ ❤︎︎

Looking further ahead, what long-term dreams or milestones would you love to achieve?
There’s certainly quite a few little ol things I have circulating around in my noggin-! For example, being able to create and exist in plush form wan day. Especially due to how much my darling Hyperpups have been longing to get their paws on wan, I know everywan would just adoreee it~! Not to mention my ownnn love for plushies in general too~! ( Goodness knows how many of em already CONSUME space on my dog-bed, but I digress- ehehe-.. )
To further my studies when it comes to learning various languages so I can communicate with as many folks as pawssible. Whether on IRIAM or otherwise, to be able to interact with anywan in their primary language I feel truly means wonders as a whole. Thus, regardless of where our paths may cross, I wish to do all I can to go that extra mile to directly make as many beautiful souls feel welcomed, seen + heard, and all in all just appreciated for all that they are~!
As well as to wan day create my own original song alongside having the honor and privilege to perform live on stage in a concert for all to see and enjoy-! Music has always played a major role in my life. Whether through the songs I’d happily sing along to in children shows / movies as a young pup, the various artists/groups that were introduced to me in my adolescent moons by all the wanderous people I have in my life that would further influence my music taste growing up, to present day with not only all the music I pawsonally enjoy but everything I get to enjoy together with everywan on IRIAM~! I have, and will eternally, hold a special place in my little yokai heart for anything musical.
This being the case, it’s not all that puzzling to understand why I absolutely and utterly treasure being able to sing/perform on IRIAM each and every time during our karaoke streams~! I will say many moons ago this wasn’t always quite the case, back when I was still a much younger pup, I’d constantly hold myself back… I was scared. However, despite my fears and other conflicting factors deep down, I could feel a spark, that yearning, the burning desire to push myself regardless of the then-current circumstances! While I sadly didn’t get to do things as I wished then, I am beyond grateful that I now officially have the ability to do so. Not just that, but to have such an utterly outstanding community to sing/perform for to begin with. Which is why no matter the time, the effort, the bumps in the road, and everything in between, I look forward to the day where I can repay everywan’s kindness and encouragement and put together the best pawper performance I dog-gone can-! ❤︎︎
Do you have any upcoming projects or events we can look forward to?
When it comes right down to it, this Okuri-Inu gal always has something cooking up her sleeve; the main thing is just that I also always have plenty to do outside of that on my paws too, which keeps me busy BUT I digress~! While this may be the case, there certainly are quite a few things I currently have in store; for starters, an extra special pawsonal announcement that I simply cannot WAIT to officially share~!
Then, with OffKai Expo on the way, there’s a WIDEEE variety of things to look forward to. From the official OffKai Spotlight Flyers that will be distributed at the IRIAM Booth, to the fun daily IRIAM Streamer Gacha Pins, to the IRIAM Home Screen Banner Spotlight Interview that will be present during the convention as well~! That’s not even including some extra secret little things this yokai has in store, but I’ll keep that a little more hush-hush for now~
On that note, something else that is not precisely as quote “hush hush,” is this Okuri-Inu gal’s birthday, which is also on the horizon-! August 13th to be exact - I’m so excited to once again celebrate with everywan this year~!.. Ehehe... alongside being a littleee worried, it’s come to my attention that many of my dearest friends and beloved Hyperpups are already scheming for the occasion.
Either way, I hope everywan looks forward to everything in the near future and, of course, once again thank you all ever so much for your overwhelming support-! As I always say pretty much anywhere and everywhere I can really, everything up to this point would simply not have been pawssible without YOUR support and you all by my side. Thank you all for absolutely everything everywan.. ❤︎︎
Speaking of “thank you’s” I’d like to take the time out to share a few more final heartfelt words. ( What? Hehe did you reallyyy think I wouldn’t go and do so~? ) To begin, I wish to simply say again, thank you. Thank you to every single spectacular soul a part of IRIAM Staff who tirelessly do all of which they do to make IRIAM the magnificent place of which it is. Thank you to of course, IRIAM’s sweetest vampire with the sharpest of teeth and softest of hearts, Meira, for all her hard work when it comes to these Spotlight on IRIAM specials and just all of which she does for the community as well. Thank you to my hardworking fellow IRIAM Streamers, whether senpai’s or kouhai’s alike; it is such a pleasure to know/get to know each and everywan of you and to be on this very platform alongside you. Thank you to all of my cherished friendo’s who have always been nothing but a pawsitive, supportive, and overall just a genuine delight to have a part of my life. And of course, thank you to each and everywan of the beloved Hyperpups that I absolutely love and adore with my entire heart and soul for all of which they do. I am eternally grateful for every single wan of you precious little fuzzies.
To think, it has merely been 1 year and 3-ish months since our IRIAM journey together began, and already we have achieved ever so much. I mean again- I genuinely don’t know what else to say?.. I know I openly express my sincere gratitude 24/7; shoot, if I could do so even MORE someway somehow I gladly would, but I digress. At the end of the day, I just hope that my sheer feelings of appreciation and words of sincerity can reach everywan’s hearts the same way their love and support has reached mine.
With that in mind, I would at least like to say that, no matter where our paths first crossed, I’m simply glad they did from the start. Thank you all ever so much for providing me with the opportunity to be a part of so many of your beautiful lives, even if just in the fleeting moment of you reading my words through this very interview. The pleasure of making you all smile and your days the very brightest they can be day in and day out.
