[OffKai Gen5] Jan Ken Tournament

On the huge screen at IRIAM's OffKai EXPO booth, we'll be holding a Jan Ken (yep — Rock-Paper-Scissors!) tournament several times a day that anyone can join!

Keep beating the Streamer's hand and IRIAM's team will hand you a prize on the spot! 🎁

We're looking for Streamers to help us bring this Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament to life at the venue.

What will I be doing?

Together with IRIAM staff on-site, you'll host a Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament at the OffKai venue (we're picturing about 15 minutes per round).

From inside the huge screen, you'll call out to the people in the crowd, throw your hand, cheer on the winners…

Let's get all the visitors who came out to OffKai hyped up, together with us!

You might even get to do a little something — a quick chat, a song, or other short content — before kicking off the Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Since the tournament runs with your IRIAM stream screen up on the big screen, comments from your fans joining online will reach the OffKai venue too!

Application info

• Application deadline: Sun, June 8
• Acceptance notice: within 2 weeks after applications close
• Event day: one of July 24 / 25 / 26, for 30 minutes

Requirements

• [Required] You must be a Streamer who streams on IRIAM
• [Required] You must have a setup that lets you stream on IRIAM on the day of OffKai while watching the venue via Discord screen share
• You'll stream on IRIAM as usual and we'll project that stream onto the big screen, so you don't need OBS or any similar setup.
• On the day, please join from somewhere calm where you can stream comfortably, like your home or hotel.
• Please have earphones or headphones that connect to your own smartphone ready (so you can stream while listening to the venue audio and the staff's voices).

Who we'd love to hear from

• People who love — or want to try — entertaining a big crowd at an offline event
• First-timers at an offline event are totally welcome too!
• People who love communicating with lots of people

FAQ

• Q. Is there a script or anything?
• A. We're planning to give you a simple script. (For example, it'll cover the tournament rules, how to explain the prizes, when to play off the on-site staff, and so on!) That said, the bigger part will probably come down to in-the-moment improvisation between you and the on-site staff!
• Q. Who gets to take part in the tournament?
• A. Anyone who got interested in the IRIAM booth at the OffKai venue, as well as your fans, can join freely! Because of the booth's size, we may have to cap the number once it climbs past about 50 people.
• Q. So I'll be talking to the venue while streaming on IRIAM?
• A. Exactly! That means you can perform with pretty much the same setup you always use when streaming on IRIAM. The one difference: rather than just looking at your IRIAM screen, you'll stream while checking the on-site sights and sounds through Discord.
• We wanted to create a chance for Streamers who don't have an OBS setup — or aren't used to one — to perform at OffKai too, which is why we went with this slightly unusual format!
• Q. I'm not exactly confident in my Rock-Paper-Scissors skills…
• A. No problem at all! …But if you'd like to practice, you could always use the "rock," "paper," and "scissors" Gifts built into the IRIAM app to train with your community lol
