IRIAM Dev Diary (Feb. 2026)

Hi everyone!

This is the IRIAM US Team.

A lot of what you'll see in this month's update ties back to one thing: we want Mini Gifts to be easier to send, so there's more room to play around with them during streams. We think of Gifts not just as something that makes the screen look fun—they're what help conversations grow and turn into the kind of moments that make each stream unique. So we've lowered the points needed for every Mini Gift, added 20 new ones that are easy to use in everyday streams, and made it easier to find what's new. We've also expanded the Streamer Support campaign, added a new way to discover Streamers who've just started, and more.

Let's get into it!

🎁 Mini Gifts: Lower Barrier, More Back-and-Forth

All Mini Gifts are now 15 Points

Starting with this update, every Mini Gift costs 15 points—whether it's one you can use in any stream, one your community earned from an event, or the like. Any new Mini Gifts we add from now on will also be 15 points! No exceptions.

When it takes fewer points to send a Mini Gift, it's that much easier to jump into the conversation—and we hope that means more back-and-forth in the room.

20 New Mini Gifts Added

We're adding 20 new Mini Gifts that you can use in any stream. For this batch, we focused on greetings, reactions, and praise—things that are easy to reach for in the flow of a stream. (Mini Gifts as a whole are used in all kinds of ways; this set is the one we tuned for everyday use.) We think you'll find something you like.

image

We get really inspired when we hear—at real-life events, through support, or on social media—how Gifts are used in ways we never imagined, and when that becomes part of a stream's own culture. We're excited to see how you'll use them.

New "Trend" tab in the Gift tab — and how to use it

We've added a new Trend tab to the Gifts menu during streams. That's where newly added Gifts show up—including this batch of 20 and the new Canada Mini Gifts (🍁 Oh Canada!, 🎣 Big Catch!, ☕ Stay Cozy) launching Feb. 24.

After you update: when you're in a stream and open the tab where you pick Gifts, tap Trend and you'll see the latest additions.

📺 Streamer Support Campaign: Bigger Daily Cap

The Streamer Support campaign (where you earn points for watching Streamers) has been updated to match the new Mini Gift price and to give you more room to explore!

  • Before: Up to 5 Streamers per day, 25 points each → 125 points/day max
  • Now: Up to 10 Streamers per day, 15 points each → 150 points/day max
image

We set the per-Streamer amount to 15 points to align with Mini Gifts—so one slot = 15 points = one Mini Gift—and we increased how many streams you can earn points from each day.

👀

For Viewers: you can now earn up to 150 points per day and support more different streams each day. With 10 slots, dropping by a Rookie stream or two (see below) is easier.

For Streamers: we're hoping this change makes it easier for new viewers to find and drop into your stream.

🆕 New: Rookie Tab

This update adds a Rookie tab next to the Streams tab. The Rookie tab shows Streamers who have been streaming for a month or less—so newer Streamers get a better chance to be seen.

image

Thanks to all of you, the number of Streamers and Viewers on IRIAM US keeps growing month after month. The Rookie tab will only get livelier from here. If you've just started streaming, you'll appear in the Rookie tab. If you're looking for someone new to watch, the Rookie tab is a great place to start—and when you find someone new, give them a warm welcome!👏

🛡️ Fair Play & How We Think About It

We want IRIAM to be a place where everyone can enjoy streaming and watching with peace of mind. We want Viewers who support in good faith and Streamers who are engaged in their streams to feel that the environment is fair to them.

The rules and systems we maintain cover everything that applies to everyone on IRIAM—from how login bonuses work, to the Streamer Support campaign, to how events run, and more. Rules for each stream itself are up to the Streamer and their community. On the platform-wide side, one area we've been working on is making sure that certain benefits—like login bonuses and campaign rewards—cannot be earned repeatedly across multiple accounts. We won't go into the specifics, but we're continuously reviewing and improving these systems. We'll keep at it so IRIAM stays fair and welcoming for everyone. If you believe your account was flagged by mistake, please reach out to support.

🎵 A Note for Streamers Who Use Music

If you use music in your streams (e.g., singing, playing tracks), you may have had to think about licensing and royalty payments at some point. IRIAM US has arranged with performance rights organizations—ASCAP and BMI for the US, and SOCAN for Canada—so that royalty payments for many songs can be handled through us. In short: you apply through IRIAM, and we take care of the payments to these organizations.

📋

How to apply

Open the application form from My Page → Settings → Report Music Used in the app. Your Application ID will be filled in automatically when you open the form from the app. You can apply for ASCAP- and BMI-administered songs (US) or SOCAN (Canada)—depending on where you're based.

🇨🇦 Welcome Canada Campaign

Last month we shared the Welcome Canada Campaign for February. Canadian Viewers can already use IRIAM—and from here, you'll start to see Canadian Streamers more and more over time.

image
  • Canada Streamer Debut — From Feb. 24, Canadian Streamers can start streaming. Dozens of Streamers are already preparing for their debut—we'll be rolling this out gradually.
  • New Mini Gifts for Canada — Also from Feb. 24, we're adding Mini Gifts to welcome Canadian Streamers and Viewers: 🍁 Oh Canada!, 🎣 Big Catch!, and ☕ Stay Cozy.
  • In-app event: Canada Convention — Starts Feb. 24. Open to Streamers in the US & Canada.

Event details (rewards, rules, and more) are already in the app—check there if you're interested. If you're in Canada—or want to support Canadian Streamers—February is the month to jump in. Welcome! 🇨🇦

🤝 Invite Your Friend — Become an IRIAM Duo!

Some of you may have been waiting for this one. We talked about a streamer referral campaign in a previous Dev Diary—and it's here!

The "Invite Your Friend — Become an IRIAM Duo" campaign is now live. If you invite a friend to join IRIAM as a Streamer and they successfully debut, both of you will receive a special matching Duo Background—a pair of backgrounds designed for two Streamers.

image

There are 3 background designs to choose from, and the application deadline is March 31.

Already invited someone before the campaign launched? No worries—you can still apply retroactively. Head to the #iriam-duo-invite channel on our Discord to create your ticket and get started.

📊 Coming Soon: Ranking Expansion

One more thing—starting March 3, we're expanding several rankings:

  • Monthly Cheer Point Ranking and Monthly Fan Badge Ranking: from the top 30 → top 50
  • Daily Cheer Point Ranking: from the top 10 → top 50

The number of active Streamers on IRIAM keeps growing, and we want the rankings to reflect that. More Streamers will be visible on the rankings—and this also ties into an exciting OffKai announcement we'll share soon. Stay tuned!

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Improvements

Thank you as always for your bug reports and feedback. Here are a few of the fixes in this update:

✅

Android: Push notification images

On some Android devices, images in push notifications were not showing when you received them. This has been fixed so that notification images display correctly.

✅

Android: Push notifications after first launch

We fixed an issue where push notifications were not sent after the app was launched for the first time. Notifications should now be delivered correctly after first launch, without needing to force-close the app or take other steps.

✅

Search: Easier to use, smoother hashtag search

We've made search easier to use, and searching by hashtag is now a bit smoother.

Wrapping Up

That's February! A lot happened this month.

Mini Gifts are now 15 points across the board, with 20 new ones and a Trend tab so you can find them easily. The Streamer Support campaign now lets you earn from up to 10 streams per day, and the new Rookie tab makes it easier to discover Streamers who've just started. Canadian Streamers are debuting, the IRIAM Duo campaign is live, and the rankings are about to get bigger.

At the end of the day, streams are shaped by Streamers and Viewers—we're here to set up the environment and tools so you can make the most of it. This month's update is our way of saying: we want there to be more moments in your streams. More reactions, more conversations, more reasons to drop by.

If you have any feedback or questions, we'd love to hear from you.

Until the next entry,

— IRIAM US Team
