An event is a set period where everyone is working toward the same thing at once. You join it yourself, what you do on stream adds up, and at the end you get whatever you reached.

A new event starts most weeks. There are exceptions, but as a rule an event starts on a Tuesday — 7:00 PM ET in summer, 6:00 PM ET in winter — and runs for seven days, closing the following Monday night. This page is not a list of every one of them. It's here so you know what kinds of things exist, and what happens after you win one.

Mostly two kinds of event: ranking and achievement

Ranking events. Everyone taking part is ranked against each other by Event Points, and your prize is decided by where you finish. In some events entrants are split at random into several groups, and the ranking runs inside each group. How far down the prizes reach varies from event to event.

Event Points are driven mainly by Gifts. Comments and Stars count too, so every kind of support adds to it. You can see your total under the event icon while you're live.

Achievement events. No rank involved. You hit a number, it's yours, and it doesn't matter what anyone else did. What you build up changes from event to event. Recent rounds have looked like this:

Before you join anything

You can only be in one event at a time. Events with overlapping periods can't be joined together, so check the dates before you tap Participate.

Some events have entry requirements. They're listed under Event Rules on the event details page. Check them before you tap Participate.

Never gift yourself to move up the ranking. Using a second IRIAM account to take part, or anything the team judges to be manipulating Event Points, breaks the Event Terms, and losing your prize is one of the actions they can take. There is nothing to gain from it.

How to join

The button is at the bottom right of the event details page. To open that page, tap the event banner at the top of your home screen, or go to the Event tab, then In Progress or Upcoming, and tap a banner there.

Tap it before you start streaming. A stream you run without having joined doesn't count, even inside the event period. Points start from the first stream you begin after joining.

What you can get

Ready-made in-app assets

Backgrounds and mini gifts that already exist in the app. They're added to your account once you meet the condition, and only you can use them.

An exclusive gift is something your viewers send to you, so you can't use your own. A background is yours to set on your stream.

Assets made just for you

Your own background, your own mini gift, your own chibi character, your own character song. Nobody else has it.

These split into two kinds. Ones you submit art for (the Make a series): your illustration is checked before it's made. Ones an illustrator or the team makes for you (character songs, illustrator collaborations): nothing to submit.

Examples: Make a Unique Background!, Charason!

Collaborations

Things made together with an outside brand. What you do after winning depends on the collaboration, so read that event's rules.

Examples: IRIAM × POPKILLER, IRIAM × ELGATO.

Physical goods

An actual object that ships to you. Things made after the event can take a while.

Examples: IRIAM Official Calendar, Get the Official Shirasu Plushie!

The numbers you see

Fan Badges show how close a viewer is to you, and they reset on the 1st of every month, so even a regular starts from zero again.

Stream Streak counts how many days in a row you streamed for 30 minutes or more in one go. Two twenty-minute streams don't make a day. Reach seven days in a row and the badge shows up; miss one day and it's gone.

If you get stuck

When something isn't clear, ask us first. There is also an official Discord community called IRIAM Town, where streamers help each other out.

Getting in takes a few steps, and the last one is not instant:

2. React to the first message in #the-rules. That is what opens the rest of the channels, so nothing else is visible until you do it.
3. React to the second message as well if you want to hear about giveaways and events.
4. Post an intro in #iriam-streamer-introductions with your IRIAM handle and the socials you use for streaming. Staff read it and then give you the Streamer role, which opens #streamer-lounge and the channel for announcing you are live.

Step 4 is done by a person, so the role may take a little while to show up.

One more thing
